Are you strong enough to fail?

Strong leaders are in it for the long haul and don’t quit after success.

“I wasnt strong enough to fail.

I led successful businesses which I then sold.

The reality is I ran before things failed.

Before I had to make difficult choices.

Ultimately I left on a high before I had the chance to fail”

Failure means different things to us all where individually, the team or the whole organisation. It might be an impact on your identity and what people think of you. It might be the sustainability of your team and many more besides.

Hanging in there to ride the waves of the good and bad is tough.

It’s easier to leave on a high on the peak of the wave before business and or market changes tune.

The hard bit which every strong leader does is to hang around and not escape.

When I say escape I mean move to something new. They relish on the new cycle of the business knowing that things may change. They minimise the risk but know that managing failure rather than escaping it makes them and the teams around them stronger.

Strong leaders are in it for the long haul and dont quit after success.

Are you a strong leader or jumping before you have the chance to fail?
